An award-winning Shelton cheesecake chef was charged Thursday with sexually harassing employees and touching them inappropriately.
According to a prepared statement from Detective Chris Nugent, police began an investigation in March 2016 after three employee’s of Dee’s Kitchen on Howe Avenue complained to police that 58-year-old Brian Stockbridge “was sexually harassing them and touched them inappropriately on several occasions.”

A 23-year-old man from Shelton was arrested Tuesday on charges he drugged a 15-year-old girl to have sex with her.

Ansonia police found a seriously injured man at the scene of an attempted burglary in the city’s north end.
According to a prepared statement from Lt. Patrick Lynch, about 3:26 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 17) a resident of the area called police to report that someone was trying to break into the Ansonia Mini-Mart at 147 N. Main St.

A crash on Beaver Street Tuesday may have been an attempted suicide, police said.
The driver was only identified as a 23-year-old woman.

Ansonia police are looking for a man who tried to rob a woman at gunpoint Tuesday night on Howard Avenue.
According to a prepared statement from Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch, the incident occurred about 8:35 p.m. in the area of Ansonia Middle School.

An Oxford man was arrested Tuesday after police said he got into an argument with a Lewis Tree Services employee, then shot a gun into a tree outside his home several times.
There were no injuries.
According to a press release from state police, a state trooper was called to the O’Neil Road home of of 23-year-old Justin Leake after an argument between Leake and the tree company employee, Raymond Jiminez, 21.

Police said a man with a pellet gun shot at landscapers who were too loud for his liking Thursday.
Jeffrey Pate is charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree breach of peace.

A former Ansonia Alderman and longtime corporation counsel was charged Tuesday with drunk driving in connection with a July 29 crash.
Kevin Blake, 57, surrendered to police about 4 p.m. Monday after learning police had obtained an arrest warrant, Ansonia Lt. Patrick Lynch said in a prepared statement.

Shelton police say a Seymour man upset with his daughter’s boyfriend paid someone to accuse the boyfriend of a knifepoint robbery.
The Seymour man, 47-year-old Philip Prokop, was charged Thursday with second-degree conspiracy to give a false statement. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is due in court Sept. 21.
