Plumb Library To Host Winter Gardening Workshop

The Plumb Memorial Library will be offering a special gardening event called “Winter Sowing Workshop.”
 
The workshop will be at 10:00 a.m. on January 27, 2018 with a snow day on February 24th at 10:00. Participants will learn this fun and easy way to start seeds outside in winter. No lights, heat mats or expensive equipment is required to grow seeds. Everyone who attends will sow seeds to take home with them.

Shelton City Yard Closed On MLK Day

Today, Thursday, January 4, 2018, Shelton City Hall will be opening at 9:30 a.m. and the Shelton Community Center will be opening at noon.

Plumb Library, Huntington Branch Library and the Shelton Senior Center will be closed on Thursday, January 4th, 2018.

Also, on Thursday, January 4th, parking will be permitted on the even numbered side of the street.

Shelton Lawyer Pleads Guilty To Enticing Minor

A Shelton lawyer faces between 10 years and life in prison after pleading guilty to a federal child exploitation charge Wednesday (Jan. 3).

Peter Kruzynski, 51, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Alker Meyer in New Haven to one count of enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, U.S. Attorney John Durham said in a prepared statement.

12th Annual Monkey Love Drive Under Way

Once again, J-Cuts barber shop is opening their doors welcoming stuffed monkeys for children in need of smiles and a new friend to warm their hearts on Valentine’s Day.

During the past eleven years, over 10,832 stuffed monkeys have been collected and distributed to children.
