U.S. Navy Photo

The attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.

Today is the 76th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

This morning Mayor Richard Dziekan ordered the flags at Derby City Hall to fly at half-staff in remembrance of the day that will live in infamy.”

More than 3,500 Americans were killed or wounded at Pearl Harbor that day.

The mayor asks that all citizens please take a moment out of your day to remember the sacrifice those troops gave in defending our great nation.

Also, please remember those troops who are actively serving in harm’s way across the world protecting our freedom.
