Website Remembers Late Oxford Teen

A new website honoring an Oxford teen killed in a March car crash announced that a fundraiser benefit will be held on what would have been his 16th birthday.

Angela Borrelli, the mother of the teen, Brandon Giordano, posted a link to the website on the Valley Indy’s Facebook page Monday.

The fundraiser, on Aug. 17, at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., will end with those present releasing floating lanterns lit by candles in memory of Brandon Giordano.

All proceeds to benefit the Brandon Giordano Memorial Fund c/o Naugatuck Savings Bank. This fund has been set up in Brandon’s honor, all funds raised are for his sister and his brother’s college fund,” according to the website.

The website, titled Remembering Brandon,” aims to commemorate what people remember most about Giordano: his joy for life.

What we remember most about Brandon is his joy for life. He was always cracking jokes and finding unique ways to make us smile,” the main page says. Brandon LIVED to laugh and love, and we will carry his love for us ALWAYS.”

In addition to tickets to the August event, which are $25, with all proceeds going to the Brandon Giordano Memorial Fund, visitors to the website can get T‑shirts honoring Giordano’s memory.

The website says the August event will be a day of remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived.”

This is a happy day, this will be a day that Brandon can look down proudly on us from Heaven with a smile on his face,” it says. Those of you who knew Brandon know that he wants to see us happy, together, loving and hugging one another.”
