The City of Ansonia has put out a call for volunteers to help rebuild a playground at the nature center off Deerfield Lane.
Employees of Seymour-based Basement Systems have pledged to rebuild the popular playscape, which was demolished in April after a child needed surgery to remove a four- to six-inch splinter that lodged in his arm while playing there.
Volunteers are needed the week of July 11 to July 17, according to a flier posted on the city’s Facebook page.
Those interested in volunteering should call Alison Rubelmann, the director of the nature center, at 203 – 736-1053 or email [email protected].
