Ansonia Cheerleaders are once again at the top of their divisions.
The Division 8, 10, 12, and 15 cheerleaders have already earned the titles of Colonial League Champions and CT AYC State Champions.
The cheerleaders competed at the American Youth Cheer New England Regional Championship this past weekend, Nov. 23 at the XL Center in Hartford.
Ansonia’s Division 15 team placed second in their division. The Division 8, 10, and 12 teams placed first, earning the title of New England Regional Champions.
All four teams will be traveling to Orlando, FL to compete in the American Youth Cheer National Championship. The team will arrive in Florida on Thursday, Dec. 12. All teams will be competing at the Silver Spurs Arena on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15.
The Ansonia Youth Football & Cheer program, along with their young athletes, has been hard at work planning fundraising events in an effort to defray the expenses of this trip.
The goal of Ansonia Youth Football & Cheer is to ensure that all of their cheerleaders are able to travel to Florida to compete with their teams. The program is still actively seeking donations to assist with travel costs prior to their scheduled departure.
No donation is too small to help this talented group of young athletes live their dreams in Orlando.
