Ansonia Church Disburses $6,150 In Aid

Christ Episcopal Church, Ansonia, received the sum of $6,150 from the Diocese as missional aid to parishes located in economically distressed areas.

The parish charged The Episcopal Church Women with the task to identify Valley community organizations in need of consideration of financial assistance.

The outcome of disbursements is as follows:

TEAM

“Warm Heart” fuel assistance $500

Diaper Bank $500

Toys for Kids (purchased toys and gifts) $300

Meals on Wheels $400

Rental Security deposit $250

BHCare

Umbrella Domestic Violence Shelter & Programs $500

Special Needs Client program $200

Valley Social Club $200

Griffin Hospital

Parish Nurse Diabetes Education program $200

Parish Nurse Chronic Disease Education program $200

Salvation Army

Adopt a Family Program for Christmas $300

Pets Helping People of Ansonia

Ansonia Animal Shelter for toiletry items, snacks $300

Healthcare items for Veterans at VA Hospital $300

Samela Memorial Food Pantry (at Christ Church)

Adopt 2 families to provide Christmas gifts $600

United Thank Offering

Memorial for Jane Tuttle $300

Samela Memorial Food Pantry (at Christ Church)

Provide 3,200 meals Ansonia, Derby & Seymour $1,000

Heifer Project (International)

Animal/livestock support to foreign counties in need $300

Miller-Ward Funeral Home

Blankets purchased for the benefit of Salvation Army & St Vincent de Paul $100
