This past Friday (Jan. 13), the City of Ansonia bid a fond farewell to Fire Marshal Ralph “Ray” Tingley, as he begins his well deserved retirement.
Mayor David Cassetti singled Tingley out for praise at last week’s Aldermen’s meeting: “Let me begin by taking a few moments to talk a little bit about Fire Marshal Ralph Tingley From Eagle Hose. As Mayor of this great city, I couldn’t have asked for a better Fire Marshal. Ray began his career in 2001 and will be retired as of next week. Ray’s professionalism, dedication, easy to approach manner, ability to transform complex situations into understandable and solvable solutions was uncanny. Ray we love you and we are all going to miss you very much. Please let’s have a round of applause for Ralph Tingley.”
