A recanvass will be held MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2017 at 5 PM AT ANSONIA CITY HALL, ERLINGHEUSER ROOM, 253 MAIN STREET, ANSONIA, CT to recanvass the returns of the tabulator machine vote and absentee ballot vote used in the 4th Ward voting district for the office of Aldermen in the City of Ansonia from the Republican Primary held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
In the event the Recanvass results in a tie vote (no change in the original tabulation count), the tie will be resolved by an adjourned Primary to be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 6 AM to 8 PM at the 4th Ward Poll (Ansonia Middle School Gym). Ballots of the same form and description shall be used pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes §9 – 446.
The general public is invited to observe the Recanvass but no member of the public can interfere in the process…any questions during the Recanvass must be directed to the Moderator by raising a hand.
