Ansonia ‘Mayor’s Night Out,’ Block Watch Meeting March 4

The Ansonia Rescue and Medical Services (A.R.M.S.) will be the location for Mayor Cassetti’s first Mayor’s Night Out” March 4 at 6:30 p.m.

The event, originally slated for Feb. 18 but rescheduled due to snow, is an opportunity for residents to meet staff members or members of city departments to have their concerns directly heard.

Residents are encouraged to come ask questions or just stop by and say hello.

I want to give all residents the opportunity to meet and have their voices heard. I understand that not everyone can make it to city hall and they may not wish to speak at a Board of Alderman meeting. This gives Ansonia taxpayers an opportunity to have access to my Department staff members and me,” Mayor Cassetti said.

The A.R.M.S building is located at 22 West Main St., Ansonia, 203 – 735-3668.

Block Watch

Ansonia Police Officer Rick Esposito will host a citywide Block Watch meeting as part of the event.

Past topics of discussion have included crime, car theft, blight issues, roaming dogs, graffiti, holiday and vacation safety tips, noise ordinances, curfews in city parks, motor vehicle and traffic violations, gang and drug activity.

For more information visit www.ansoniablockwatch.com or call the police department at 203 – 735-1885. In the event of an emergency always call 911.

As always, get your neighbors involved. If you see it, report it!”
