Ansonia Teacher Is State’s Business Educator Of The Year

FILESara Crooks, a business teacher at Ansonia High School, has been named Connecticut Business Educator of the Year, the school district announced on Tuesday (Sept. 9).

What wonderful recognition for Sara and for Ansonia,” Superintendent Carol Merlone said on the school district’s Facebook page. We are truly proud of her and appreciate all that she does and how she always goes above and beyond for our students.

It only goes to prove that the way you travel through life is the most powerful legacy you can give to your students,” Merlone went on. Thank you Sara. We are very proud of you.”

In addition to teaching business classes, Crooks also serves as adviser to the school’s Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut team, among other duties.
