CAGE MATCH: Young Dems Vs Young GOP

In this very special episode of Navel Gazing: The Valley Indy Podcast,’ Seymour’s Stephan Behuniak and Ansonia’s David Papcin enter the political thunderdome in a no-holds-barred Texan death match for the hearts and minds of Naugy Valley young folk.

OK, not really.

Press play to listen.

Behuniak is the vice president of The Naugatuck Valley Young Democrats, while Papcin is the president of the newly formed Valley Young Republicans.

In the interview they talk about the race to succeed respected Valley Rep. Linda Gentile, a Democrat from Ansonia; the controversy over Justice Andrew McDonald — and just what their respective organizations are trying to establish in the lower Naugatuck Valley.

Behuniak, by the way, is an elected member of the Seymour Board of Selectmen, and he is also the chairman of the Seymour Town Democratic Committee.

Papcin, at just 19 years of age, is already a member of the Ansonia Board of Apportionment and Taxation, and he is running to be chairman of the Ansonia Town Republican Committee.
