On December 4th the Derby Public Library hosted its 3rd annual Christmas First Grade Night.
Three dozen children checked out books, listened to holiday stories, made a gingerbread craft, sang Christmas carols and had their picture taken with Santa.
Library Nights are held throughout the year to encourage family literacy and build town pride and unity at Irving and Bradley Schools.
The nights are organized by children’s librarian Sue Sherman, Derby teachers Jenny Ames, Kailee Hyde, and Melissa Melillo.
