The crash occurred about 1:45 p.m. when the vehicle’s driver had a medical issue that caused his car to leave the road and collide with a dumpster behind the building, according to city officials at the scene.

EMS took the driver of the car to a hospital for an evaluation.

The car pushed the dumpster through a window at the back wall of the building, facing East Main Street, as well as causing minor damage to a box truck parked on the property, according to a Facebook post from the volunteer Webster Hose Hook & Ladder Company.

Fortunately, the business had closed earlier in the day, so the damaged area was not occupied at the time,” the post read.
