Comic Artie Lange Talks Howard Stern, Donald Trump, Forces Us To Use Our Bleep Button

He later posted his personal phone number on Twitter, inviting people to bash him for postponing the appearance.

Lange, a standup comedian, podcaster, actor, and New York Times bestselling author, is appearing 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at Foxwoods Resort and Casino.

Lange also has a recurring role in Crashing,” a new show on HBO premiering from comedy overlord Judd Apatow, and his third memoir is due out later this year.

Lange became famous during his 10 years on The Howard Stern Show,” for his caustic wit, harrowing tales of debauchery, a hair-trigger temper — and a complete lack of pretentiousness.

But Lange’s infamous addictive personality — he was on heroin and other substances — eventually triggered a suicide attempt.

Lange hasn’t appeared on the show that made him famous in about seven years, and he’s become a Howard Stern critic — a sentiment explored in this Valley Indy podcast.

Lange said Stern’s confrontational, man-of-the people approach has been replaced with celebrity interviews. Lange places the blame on an executive within Stern’s world who has brainwashed” the radio pioneer.

Lange hopes his criticism will force Stern to snap out of it.
