Democrats Nominate Rochelle In 104th District

The Conventions for the 104th and 105th were held May 16 at the Central Subalpi Club in Ansonia.

For the 104th, Kara Rochelle was unanimously nominated. Former State Representative Vincent Tonucci nominated Rochelle and the nomination was seconded by Ansonia DTC Chair, Tarek Raslan, who read a prepared statement from State Representative Linda Gentile who could not be in attendance.

Kara Rochelle said, I am deeply honored to have the unanimous nomination by the Democrats of Ansonia and Derby to run for State Representative of the 104th House District. Both town committees recognize that my professional experience, deep Valley roots, and heartfelt dedication transcend politics and make me the best person to represent all people in our district.”

I’ll listen carefully to our residents and work hard to represent everyone with tenacity and grace up in the capital, should the voters entrust me with the opportunity to go to bat for them,” Rochelle said. My priority is the people in our community: making sure we have smart economic development, creating paths to good paying jobs, fighting to keep our schools adequately funded for our kids, and making sure our older neighbors can retire with dignity. I love my community, will fight for all of you, and look forward to a spirited race.”
