Derby Business Owner Injured In N.Y. Plane Crash

FACEBOOKA Derby business owner was seriously injured in a plane crash in New York July 16, according to The New Haven Register.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.

Jason Klein is an owner of Force3 Pro Gear, a company on New Haven Avenue affiliated with On Time Screen Printing.

Force3 Pro Gear is developing a catcher’s mask designed to better protect baseball players.

Klein was on a small plane that flew 1,000 feet from a private air strip before it crashed in Schoharie County, N.Y., according to The Times Union, a newspaper in Albany, N.Y.

Three people were killed in the crash, including Susanne Hilgefort, an executive with Major League Baseball.

Klein is being treated for burns at the Westchester Medical Center, according to a post on the Force3 Facebook page.
