Get ready for “Derby Day” at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport Sept. 27.
Residents and Derby businesses are invited to take part, according to info sent by the Derby Cultural Commission.
Derby residents with ID verifying their locale will get into the zoo for just $5. Families can check out all the animals and enjoy the day at Beardsley.
“Meet and greet city officials, elected officials, businesses, civic leaders, your friends, your neighbors and make some new friends,” the cultural commission says.
Derby Day at the zoo is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
But it’s not just for Derby residents — Derby businesses are cordially invited to attend as well.
“Beardsley Zoo is offering a free table to any group from Derby who would like to promote themselves as well as our beautiful town,” according to info from the cultural commission. “They will provide a table and chairs (but will not be providing tents or canopies).”
