“Based on tips to the PD, we believe we have the suspect identified. The cases remain under investigation so we cannot comment further at this time. THANK YOU community for your help!,” police said.

Derby police are looking for a suspected cell phone thief.
“Over the past few days, Derby police investigated three thefts from cell phone stores in the area of Pershing Drive,” police said in a statement Wednesday.
The man, who was captured on surveillance video, isn’t exactly smooth.
“Employees said the suspect asked questions about a phone and then took off running from the store with the phone,” police said.
The crimes have been happening in the afternoon.
