Police have released the name of the man who was killed in a car accident on Nichols Avenue Friday morning.
Bradner Cameron, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened at about 2:20 a.m.
Cameron was driving a 2005 Ford Escape.
The driver of the other car, 25-year-old Nicola Urbani of Shelton, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Shelton Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team, with assistance from the Trumbull Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team, was called to investigate the accident. The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigations, but is now open again.
The accident is still under investigation, police said, and no enforcement action has been taken yet.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Shelton Police Traffic Division at (203) 924-1554 ext 337.
The following was posted at 8:32 a.m. Friday
The accident happened at about 2:20 a.m., Sgt. Robert Kozlowsky said in an e-mail to the media at 8 a.m.
“I can confirm that there is one person dead from the accident. Shelton police are still on scene conducting the investigation and the area is closed to traffic,” he said.
