Students in Shelton High School’s Cooperative Work Experience class are planning a “Fill the Truck” event at SHS this Friday, Nov. 13, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. outside Finn Stadium.
The event will take place immediately before the senior night football game against Hamden.
“Fill the Truck” is a charity event that provides Thanksgiving Dinners to families of the SHS Food Bank. Their goal is to collect at least 50 turkeys.
Frozen turkeys, non-perishable foods and monetary donations will be accepted.
If anyone would like to drop off a turkey or a donation to assist in this cause, you may do so Monday through Friday of this week in the SHS main office between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
