FYI: Rabid Raccoon Found In Oxford

The Animal Control Officer on Thursday reported that a raccoon found in the area of Anthony Pond Road has tested positive for rabies.

The raccoon was tested on Wednesday after it attacked and bit a dog in the area of Anthony Pond Road. 

Animal control officers urge all residents to make sure they are up to date on the rabies vaccination for all of their animals.
