Go To This Meeting, Change Derby

Attention Derby residents, tonight is your last chance to (informally) share your opinions with your neighbors about where the city is heading.

The third and final forum on the city’s Plan of Conservation and Development is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Grassy Hill Lodge, 77 Sodom Lane in east Derby.

The session will give residents the opportunity, in an informal setting, to share their thoughts on Derby’s assets, challenges and opportunities. Food will be provided,” according to a press release from Derby City Hall.

The Plan of Conservation and Development is an important municipal planning tool that guides the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission. They’re the group that makes land decisions in the city.

The city is looking for info on housing needs, transportation, education, city services, recreation, entertainment, and commercial development.

Residents should also take the online community survey recently posted on the city’s new website. Click here to participate.

(Just be sure to read the Valley Indy’s article, not the one listed under the survey. You’ll see when you click.)
