‘Gremlins’ Star Zach Galligan Appearing Saturday At ‘CT Horrorfest’


You know you’ve a good podcast episode going when the guest says these are not normal questions” less than three minutes into the interview.

Zach Galligan said exactly that during his appearance Monday morning on Navel Gazing,” the Valley Indy podcast.

Galligan is the star of the classic 1984 comedy-fright flick Gremlins” and its 1990 sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch.”

Galligan talks about getting treated poorly by Bill Murray back in the day and gives his take on the 80s pop culture revival currently underway, such as Stranger Things,” the massively popular new series on Netflix.

Galligan is scheduled to appear Saturday, Aug. 27 at the CT Horror Fest” at The Matrix Conference Center off Interstate 84 in Danbury.

CT Horror Fest” is an annual genre convention with deep Naugatuck Valley connections — three of its organizers live in Seymour and Derby.

In addition to weird vendors and lots of people wearing hockey masks, CT Horror Fest” will feature guest speakers. The convention is being headlined by George Romero, the visionary behind Night of the Living Dead” and Dawn of the Dead.”

Tickets are $25 at the door.
