Look Cool While Supporting Local News

The front.

For just the second time since we launched in 2009, The Valley Indy is selling T‑Shirts to raise money for the site and spread the word about what we do.

The shirts are $20. Larger sizes are a few bucks extra. Shipping is about five bucks.

The sale went live Thursday afternoon.

So far the reaction on social media has been tremendous.

Check this out from one of our Twitter followers:

Yes, they just come in white.

But The Valley Indy gets $10 per shirt, assuming we sell at least 11. Online Journalism Project is our nonprofit parent — but the money goes directly to Valley Indy.

Our goal is to sell 49 shirts in 27 days.

As of 8:30 p.m. Thursday, a whopping 1 shirt was sold …

… to the guy writing this story.

Seriously, click here to order.

Sizes range from youth XS to adult 4XL.

It’s a unisex shirt, and you can pay with a credit card or PayPal.

The campaign will close at midnight on Dec. 28, 2017 — which means your items will ship about 12 working days after that.

The Valley Indy decided to sell the shirt because:

1. Other than about 100 coffee cups and a previous T‑shirt run we did a few years back, we have virtually no merchandise to speak of, and …

2. There’s something wrong with the fact that until yesterday it was impossible to buy a Valley Indy T‑shirt supporting community journalism — but you could easily order a T‑shirt from Walmart supporting the killing of our colleagues.

Order The Valley Indy T‑shirt right now!
