It snowed overnight Friday in the area.
Roads are slick and schools are delayed.
As of 6:40 a.m. in Seymour, firefighters were responding to a report of wires down in the area of 79 Mountain Road. There were 71 CL&P customers without power in Seymour.
Over in Shelton, emergency crews were responding to a report of a vehicle into a pole on Route 110 near Murphy’s Lane.
The school delays:
Ansonia: 90 minutes
Derby: Two hours
Oxford: 90 minutes
Seymour: Two hours
Shelton: 90 minutes
Today’s forecast from the National Weather Service:
Winter weather advisory until 10 a.m., with 2-4 inches of snow possible.
Wind advisory until 6 p.m. Saturday.
