Naugatuck Valley Young Dems Host Birthday Party

For the last year the Naugatuck Valley Young Democrats have worked to support Democratic candidates and now they are launching their next endeavor, fundraising. With statewide and federal level elections coming up, the organization ramps up their efforts in the Valley community.

On Friday, Feb. 23, exactly one year after their first meeting, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the Naugatuck Valley Young Democrats will be hosting their One Year Anniversary Party and Fundraiser at Tavern 1757 in Seymour.

Slated to appear are Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, State Comptroller Kevin Lembo, State Representative Linda Gentile, First Selectman Christopher Bielik, and Selectman Stephan Behuniak.

This party gives the young group a chance to celebrate their activism and community outreach.

While it’s a night to showcase their achievements it will also be the first major fundraising effort and allow the Naugatuck Valley Young Democrats to expand their efforts.
