Riverside Community Church in Oxford is launching a coloring competition for area children.
The Church is launching an Angel symbol for our prayer and blessing request lines and fund raising programs scheduled for later in the spring this year.
Children are invited to Color the Angel drawing provided by the Church – there will be two prize winners chosen from the entries. These art works will be framed and placed on display in the Church.
Winners will receive iTunes Gift cards for music, movies or TV shows on any Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad Touch or iPads.
The Coloring Competition is open to all area children Kindergarten through High School students.
Children will be asked to color an 81/2 X 11 inch angel picture provided by the Church. Art work can be colored with paint including watercolor or acrylic.
It can be colored with crayon, ink, oil crayon, pencil, colored pencil, markers, glitter, fabric, feathers or any combination of these media. (No pastel, or charcoal).
No names or writing should be on the front of the completed picture. The Child’s name and age and a parent’s name and contact phone number should be on the back of the drawing.
Drawings to colored can be picked up after the 9AM Sunday Mornings after Worship Services at 10 through 11 AM starting March 18, 2012 through April 22nd.
Return of finished colored drawings: April 29th is the deadline for the art to be completed and returned to the Riverside Community Church. Drawings can be dropped off any Sunday morning between 10 and 11 AM after worship service starting March 25th through April 29th.
The completed art works will be on Exhibit in the Church Fellowship Hall on May 6th: Winners will be announced at the Church 10:30 AM on Sunday May 6th.
There will be a reception with refreshments for the young artists and their families from 10:30AM through noon. Prizes will be awarded at the Church on Sunday May 6th.
The church is located in a lovely country setting at 238 Freeman Road in Oxford.
Riverside Community Church is a non-denominational Christian Church with a long history in Oxford offering a comfortable and slightly casual worship experience open to any person in need of spiritual connection.
9 AM Sunday Worship includes a children’s story time and then Sunday school open to children during a portion of the weekly service and Fellowship and coffee after.
