The City of Ansonia posted a reminder to residents on its website Friday that a fireworks display will light the night sky at Nolan Field Sept. 19.
The display will kick off immediately following the high school football game between Ansonia and Derby, which will begin at 7 p.m.
Last month Mayor David Cassetti announced the display as a make-up for an underwhelming “flare show” at the city’s Summerfest celebration in July.
