‘Runway For Meals’ Fashion Show To Benefit Meals On Wheels

If fashion is a statement, then this event makes a profound statement: Be part of the Meals on Wheels Runway For Meals Intergenerational Fashion Show and Luncheon at Assumption Church Hall, 51 North Cliff Street, Ansonia on August 26, 2017, and contribute to a valuable community service that benefits homebound seniors.”

TEAM is presenting its first-ever Runway For Meals Fashion Show and Luncheon to help support the Meals on Wheels program, which delivers hot meals five days a week to homebound seniors and disabled residents in the Lower Naugatuck Valley. In recent months, the program has had to absorb dramatic cuts in funding, forcing us to create a waiting list for the first time in the program’s history.

David Morgan, TEAM President/CEO said, Not only does the program provide seniors a warm, nutritious meal, Meals on Wheels drivers also check up on the safety of seniors in the program. These seniors may not see another visitor all week, so these daily visits become like a lifeline for them, and it’s why they can still live at home independently.”

Fashions presented by Dress Barn & Dress Barn Woman, Seccombe’s Men Shop, Jos A. Banks and Justice will provide the fashions. Lunch begins at 11:00 a.m. followed by the fashion show at 12:00.

There will be a silent auction before and during lunch.
