Attention families: the Seymour Christmas parade is 2 p.m. Sunday Nov. 26 in Seymour.

It starts at the Seymour Community Center, then makes its way over the Broad Street bridge and up Main Street.

See the press release from the organizers below:

The 46th annual Seymour Christmas Parade steps off Sunday. Three individuals who have made a significant contribution to the quality of life in Seymour will be recognized at that time.

Ron Skurat has been chosen to be the Grand Marshal of the parade. For many years, he has been serving the town of Seymour in several capacities.

Alex Danka is the recipient of the Community Service Award. He has contributed countless hours in a variety of volunteer positions and now serves as president of Seymour Land Trust.

The Business Person of the Year award, sponsored by Zois’ Pizza, will be presented to Floyd Moir, owner of Retina Systems. Moir has been generous in support of many causes and projects in town.

Approximately 50 units will be in the line of march as the 46th annual Seymour Christmas Parade steps off Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m.

The parade will assemble at the community center and River Road and will take the traditional route over the Broad Street bridge, up main Street, then on to Route 67 before dispersing on Spruce Street.

Prior to the parade there will be entertainment at the reviewing stand adjacent to the railroad station. Rita Tottenham Studios will entertain the crowd as they celebrate their 35th anniversary.

In case of inclement weather, the parade will be held the following Sunday, Dec. 3.
