Seymour Pumpkin Festival Is Sunday, Sept. 21

The 49th Annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at French Memorial Park in Seymour. 

There will be no rain date. 

The festival will be held rain or shine.

On festival day the park will be full of unique arts and crafts, with over 120 vendors expected to attend. There will also be food, rides, and children’s contests. Please visit our pick of the patch”. 

A raffle showcase of crafts. Stop by festival headquarters for more information and to enter the raffle to win an item donated by one of our craft vendors. Each festival program will also contain valuable coupons from local merchants.

A small sample of some new craft vendors for 2014 will include: hand painted canvas signs, wine bottle planters, hot sauces and wax art. One new food vendor this year will be a cannoli truck. Entertainment will be provided all day by Phoenix.

The festival will also feature a new kids area” with plenty to do for children including a new train ride in the park and a special performance by the Harlem Wizards at 11 a.m.

We hope all children will participate in our costume and pumpkin decorating contests held at 12 noon near the Festival Headquarters. 

Admission is free. 

No vehicle traffic, pets, or bikes are allowed in the park on festival day in order to help insure the safety of families attending the festival. 

Festival day is the one day of the year that brings families and friends, from near and far, together to celebrate and enjoy the fall season. It’s a true Seymour tradition that has been carried on for the last 49 years thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers.
