Donations Needed!
The Shelton Fire Department is teaming together with St. Vincent de Paul in gathering donations of the following for those down in Houston who were affected by the storm:
Here’s the list:
°Clothes (all sizes —- NEW ONLY)
°Under garments (NEW ONLY / all sizes) (underwear, bras, boxers, boxes of diapers / boxes of wipes, socks)
°Bedding (NEW ONLY in original packaging)
°Bath, body and cosmetic items (NEW ONLY)
°Non-perishable canned food
°Cases of BOTTLED water
°Cat / Dog food (NEW ONLY in original packaging)
°Reusable Shopping Bags
There will be a drop off center at St. Joseph’s Church located at 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton 06484 in the school gymnasium during the following dates and specific times ONLY:
Tuesday – September 5th
9 AM – 12 PM
and then also from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday – September 6th
9 AM – 12 PM
and then also from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Thursday – September 7th
9 AM – 12 PM
and then also from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday – September 8th
9 AM – 12 PM
and then also from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
There will also be either drop off times / dates or boxes set up at the following Shelton Fire Departments: (please read each since they are different)
Echo Hose H&L CO. 1 – 379 Coram Avenue
Saturday – September 2nd (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
Sunday – September 3rd (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
Huntington Fire CO. 3 – 44 Church Street
(drop off boxes are located outside of the firehouse till Thursday, September 7th)
Pine Rock Park CO. 4 – 722 Long Hill Ave
(drop off boxes are located outside of the firehouse till Thursday, September 7th)
White Hills CO. 5 – 2 School Street
(drop off boxes are located outside of the firehouse till Thursday, September 7th)
