On Thursday, Nov. 26, the annual Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race will take place in Shelton and Derby.
The race starts at 8 a.m.
The route takes runners from Canal Street, Cornell Street, right (north) onto Howe Avenue, another right onto Bridge Street, then over the bridge into Derby.
The return is the same reverse course.
At 7 a.m. Canal Street will be closed to traffic between Wharf Street and the end of the Farmers Market. Cornell Street will close at 7:30 a.m.
No parking will be permitted on the northbound lane of Howe Avenue between Cornell Street and Bridge Street.
Howe Avenue will stay open to traffic, but the northbound shoulder will be coned off for the runners.
At 7:45 a.m. Bridge Street will be closed to traffic between Howe Avenue & Main Street in Derby for the duration of the race.
