Shelton Police Charge Two With White Hills Break-In

Shelton police have arrested two men they say broke into a White Hills home last month.

Police arrested Danny Spaulding, 32, of West Haven Saturday (Nov. 15) and arrested Patrick Re, 24, of Stratford, Monday (Nov. 17) after obtaining warrants charging the men in connection with the break-in.

Both face charges of third-degree burglary, third degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

In a prepared statement, Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said the arrests stem from a burglary that occurred during the afternoon of Oct. 30 at a home in the White Hills section of the city.

The house was forcibly entered and the two arrestees have no known connection with the residence that was burglarized,” Kozlowsky said. The two were arrested after a thorough investigation by detectives working on this case.”

Kozlowsky said the men stole jewelry and medications from the home. Police have since recovered the stolen jewelry, he said.

Police said both men were held on $25,000 bonds to be arraigned Monday at Superior Court in Derby.
