Shelton Shooting Victim Dies

Kristjan Ndoj, the 15-year-old Shelton boy shot twice on Agawam Trail Saturday (March 15), died Thursday, police said in a prepared statement issued at noon.

The investigation is ongoing at this time,” the brief statement said. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Shelton Police Department at (203) 924‑1544. Calls may be confidential.”

Ndoj had been in critical condition since the shooting Saturday night, during which he was shot twice, once in the head and once in the leg.

Shelton police said Thursday morning they are still in the investigation phase, and have not applied for any warrants connected to the case.

Police said Monday they were pursuing several leads in the case, but have not revealed much about the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, but the Ndoj family said they are confident that police have been given strong leads in the case.

A press conference with police and educators has been scheduled for 3:30 p.m. outside Shelton High School.

The Ndoj family has an attorney, Michael Boynton, who may issue a statement on behalf of the family at some point, Shelton police said.

Meanwhile, a Shelton resident started a Go Fund Me“ page to collect donations for Ndoj’s family Tuesday that has raised more than $10,000, surpassing its initial goal.

Shaina Marie Boci, a member of the extended family, asked people via the Valley Indy Facebook page to continue to support the family.

Thank you for your support thus far,” she said.

She declined further comment when contacted by a reporter.

Shelton High School canceled all afternoon activities after the young boy’s death.
