Shelton Student Wins Logo Design Contest

Olivia Wong and Children’s Librarian Barbara Fritsch.

Olivia Wong, a student at Fairchild Wheeler High School, was honored recently at an award ceremony at the Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton.

She submitted the winning entry for our Summer Reading Contest Program Logo Art Contest.

Her artwork, which featured a superhero carrying a book and a wrench while zooming around the earth, will appear on all publicity materials including a large outdoor banner, posters, bingo cards and other related materials such as the Sports Center Gift Certificates.

Summer Reading registration is currently underway at both the Plumb Memorial and Huntington Branch Libraries and can be done online at http://sheltonlibrarysystem.org/plumb-summer-reading or in person. Check the Shelton Libraries website for details about all the summer reading events currently underway.

If you have any questions, just call the libraries at 203 – 924-1580 for the Plumb Memorial or 203 – 926-0111 for the Huntington Branch Library.
