Contributed PhotoTwo softball games in Derby Saturday will benefit The Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness Center at Griffin Hospital.

The fun starts at 11 a.m. at Ryan Field off Chatfield Street in Derby.

First, the Ansonia High School softball team takes on the Derby High School softball team.

Then, at 1:30 p.m., there’s an Ansonia-Derby softball alumni game.

This is the seventh year in a row for the event, which has raised more than $18,000.

Griffin Hospital CEO Patrick Charmel and breast cancer survivor Lori DiMartino will be throwing out the first pitches.
