St. Joseph School students, faculty and staff held an assembly in honor of our veterans on Tuesday (Nov. 11, Veterans Day).
Close to 20 attendees who served in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and Afghanistan and Iraq were treated to a breakfast hosted by the HSA.
The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts started the assembly by carrying the flag and leading everyone into the Pledge of Allegiance.
Monsignor Christopher Walsh said a blessing and the children, led by music teacher Mrs. Salustri on the piano sang two special songs.
The guests took time and visited the classrooms to talk about their experiences with the students.
