Thief Steals Wallets From Charity’s Employees

Derby police are trying to catch the man who allegedly stole two wallets from employees at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store at 237 Roosevelt Drive Monday.

The man was caught on camera stealing the wallets, according to an employee there.

“Camera surveillance reveals a black male go behind the register counter at approximately 1:51 p.m. and reach into the unattended pocketbooks,” according to a statement from police.

The suspect left in a silver Chevrolet with Pennsylvania plates.
