The following information is from an email from Bill Purcell, president of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce.

One of the most exciting aspects of my work at the Chamber is the opportunity to celebrate the successes of our Valley businesses at Grand Opening Events.

These occasions provide evidence of the dynamic nature of our regional economy and the entrepreneurial spirit that drives it.

This week, we are pleased to invite you to join us at three Grand Opening Celebrations taking place in our Valley!

Connecticut Basement Systems

The Grand Opening of Building 3 their new headquarters located at 33 Progress Ave., Seymour will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Three years in the making, this project is touted as “the most incredible home improvement contractor building on the planet!”

Tipsy Tomato Bar and Pizzeria

Their formal Ribbon Cutting Celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2nd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Located in the former Wal-Mart Plaza at 656 New Haven Ave. in Derby, this full-service restaurant offers New Haven style thin crust pizza plus a complete dinner menu and bar.

Please join us for complimentary appetizers and a cash bar and meet the owners of the latest addition to the Valley’s growing restaurant scene.

Banko’s Music

This Valley fixture since 1955, will hold a grand re-opening celebration on Thursday, Aug. 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Now under new ownership, this full-service music store has been completely restored, renovate and expanded to meet the musical needs of the Greater Valley region.

Please join us for a wine and beer reception featuring live music at 360 E. Main St. in the heart of downtown Ansonia.
