About 200 people lined the Sept. 11 Memorial on the Derby Green Monday during a ceremony to mark the 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

Speakers included Father Christopher Tiano, Derby Fire Commissioner Michael Kelleher, Mayor Anita Dugatto and state Rep. Linda Gentile.

Sandy James of New Milford sang our National Anthem.

This year’s featured speaker was Vaughn Dumas. He is the assistant chief of the Orange Fire Department and the president of the Connecticut State Firefighters Association.

Please click the video to watch the complete ceremony, which was recorded with an iPhone and streamed live Monday on The Valley Indy’s Facebook page.

If you prefer, the Facebook version of the ceremony is embedded below. It’s the same as the YouTube version at the top of this post.
