Valley Shakespeare Festival Performances Start July 13 In Shelton

Valley Shakespeare Festival, the Naugatuck Valley’s only professional theater company, will present its fifth annual free outdoor summer production, Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night, or What You Will,” at 8 p.m. on the evenings of Thursday, July 13 through Sunday, July 16 at Shelton’s Veterans Memorial-Riverwalk Park. 

All four performances are free and open to the public, and audiences are encouraged to arrive early at 6 p.m. with blankets and lawn chairs for picnicking and family time. The Park is located at 38 Canal St. East in Shelton, nestled on the banks of the Housatonic River, making it an ideal venue for an outdoor performance under the stars on a soft summer night.

Friday night (July 14) is Concert Night” with food trucks and live entertainment featuring Lee Ann Lovelace and George Lesiw prior to the performance courtesy of Celebrate Shelton.”
