Attention Derby residents — creep alert!

Be on the lookout for two people spotted Tuesday morning on Hawthorne Avenue in the area of Coon Hollow Road.

A reader sent us two surveillance photos. Click the arrows to toggle between the photos. Article continues below.

The pair entered private property.

One stood by the driveway, smoking a cigarette while acting as lookout, according to the homeowner’s account.

The second person walked up a few stairs to the porch outside the front door and messed with the homeowners’ Christmas decorations.

It sounds innocuous, but take a look at the photos.

These two wandered onto private property at 3:30 a.m.

Pardon me for violating the reporter’s obligation to maintaining objectivity — but these are creeps.

(Full disclosure — my family lives a few houses away)

The person on the porch unplugged an artificial Christmas tree that was part of a display, took the top half of the tree off, and put it to the side.

Upon awaking this morning, the homeowner assumed the wind blew the tree over — only to catch a glimpse of the pair in the footage.

The homeowner called the incident weird.” The cameras were there because someone previously stole delivery packages from off the porch.

The homeowner said the camera shows two people running off west on Hawthorne Avenue, toward Derby Neck Library.
