He was being held on a $50,000 bond pending a court appearance in Superior Court in Derby July 17.

According to a police summary, troopers were called to a burglary in progress at a residence on Cook Lane.

The home’s owner and family were inside during the break-in, according to police, while Owen broke several windows trying to get in.

Troopers responding to the call found Owen outside the house with tools in his hand.”

Police did not say whether Owen knew his victims, but noted that in addition to breaking several windows, he allegedly damaged two vehicles parked outside the house.

No one was injured. Presumably there were minors in the house since Owen was charged with risk of injury.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. July 16, according to the state police summary.

Owen was previously charged in connection to a scheme to rip off a pharmacy in Oxford.
