A woman was shot early Sunday near the intersection of Hawkins Street and Seventh Avenue.

This is the third violent act in the neighborhood in about a month.
On May 19, a 19-year-old man was stabbed several times in an alley turning a large get together on Hawkins. The victim lived.
A few hours after the incident, someone shot up a house close to the stabbing scene.
The May crime happened on Hawkins near Cottage Street, which isn’t far from the site of Sunday’s shooting.
