Camilla Ascenzo Francucci

Camilla Ascenzo Francucci, 90, beloved wife of the late Giovanni Francucci, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Francucci was born in San Valentino, Pescara, Abruzzi, Italy on July 14, 1921, daughter of the late Emidio and Domenica Ascenzo. She was a talented seamstress and loved to cook and entertain for family and friends.
She is survived by a niece “daughter”, Diva Francucci of Derby, with whom she made her home, a brother, Antonio Ascenzo and his family of Australia, nieces and nephews, Maria Montepara, Clelia Beaty, Nick Francucci, Bruno Mastrodicasa, Flora Marulli, Nick Francucci, Frances Martinelli, Mario Francucci, John and Oscar Ascenzo, and Rosanna Marrone, great-nieces, “granddaughters”, Rosanna Skurat (John) and Loredana Senetcen (David), great-great nieces, “great-great granddaughters”, Nicole and Rebecca Senetcen, brother in law, Laurino Francucci (Bambina) of Watertown, MA, sisters in law, Carmela Ascenzo of Italy, Concetta Francucci of Ansonia, and Adalgisa Francucci of Belmont, MA, and several other great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Donato Ascenzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday February 3, 2012, at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on FRIDAY MORNING from 9:45 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
