Carol D. Sansone

Carol D. Sansone, 80, entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2017, at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Christopher F. Sansone.

Mrs. Sansone was born in New Haven on November 5, 1936, daughter of the late Alfred Napolitano and Mae Walsh DiFabbio and her husband Patrick. She was a resident of the Ansonia community for over fifty years until moving to Naples, FL in 2007. Carol had worked as both a self-employed real estate broker and a travel agent for Ansonia Travel, until her retirement. She lived life to its fullest and loved being with her family along with friends from CT & FL. She also loved to travel and visit the casino. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the nurses and staff of Smilow Cancer Hospital North Pavilion 14 and CT Hospice for their wonderful care.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Christopher G. Sansone Sr. (Patricia) and loving daughter, Gerri Southard (Craig) of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Craig Southard (Rachel) of Southington, Anna Sansone (Dante Martinez) of Sarasota, FL, Courtney Fankhanel (Greg) of Wallingford, Christopher G. Sansone Jr. (Danielle) of Beacon Falls and Kara Scheer (Patrick) of Ansonia, seven great-grandchildren, several brother and sister in-laws, many nieces and nephews, lifelong friend Helen Ruggiero and canine companion, Bella. She was predeceased by a brother, Al Napolitano and a sister, Shirley Cuzio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday September 16, 2017, at 10:30 am (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY) at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. There will be no prior visiting hours.
