Aldi, the grocery store chain, is hiring people for its upcoming location on Pershing Drive in Derby, a public relations firm for the company announced Monday.
To that end, Aldi is hosting a “hiring event” on Friday, Sept. 26.
“The hiring event is in advance of the upcoming Derby store, slated to open later this year,” according to a press release.
Jobs available include store associate, shift manager and manager trainee positions.

Positions:
Store Associate -$12.25 per hour
Shift Manager – $16.50 per hour
Manager Trainee – $25 per hour
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday – Sunday
- Retail experience preferred
- Management experience preferred for Manager Trainees
- Drug screening and background check
- Ability to lift 45 pounds
