I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. As a byproduct of the holidays my family after unwrapping presents created a large amount of cardboard and paper.
I would like to ask everyone to please recycle as much as possible for next week’s collection cycle.
The City of Ansonia will gladly give you an extra recycling bin if needed. They are located in the Public Works building off North Division Street or you can contact your Alderman!
If you have a large amount of cardboard and a vehicle Public Works maintains a container just for cardboard. Your recycling efforts not only help the environment but also reduce the cost of government.
The city is actually paid for recyclables whereas the opposite is true with regular household trash.
